The Project is Complete

The two-volume Complete Checkers project is complete.  Complete Checkers: Insights was published in November, 2021, and Complete Checkers: Repertoire in October, 2022.

Both books are available in PDF format for free download at checkermaven.com, and for purchase in modestly priced trade-paper editions from Amazon sites worldwide.

In mid-2023 we may investigate hard-cover editions. No promises, as it depends on how much additional effort and investment may be required, and whether or not there is an adequate market to enable us to recover costs.

We take great pride in having participated in this landmark publishing effort, which has changed the face of checker tuition, putting it on a level equal to chess, and likely to stand for many decades to come.

LC Omni/CC Reissue Project

Progress notes for the project involving the production of an omnibus edition of Logical Checkers, in tandem with a reissue of Complete Checkers, will be found here.

The blog is primarily intended for the editoral team: Richard Pask, Author; Bob Newell, Publisher/Editor-in-Chief; Debra McManus, Associate Editor; Gail Baugniet, Artistic Consultant. However anyone may read our posts if they so desire, although our ability to respond to questions will be quite limited due to time constraints.

Those familiar with formal project management techniques will see that most activities have little or no slack time.

It will be a long road but the destination will be worth the journey.
